Impact of COVID‐19 on agricultural production and distribution in South Asia

COVID-19 conveyed threats to the development of social life and economy. Social distancing has changed way living, with a profound impact on food agriculture. With this concern, study was conducted assess agricultural production distribution in South Asia. Bangladesh, India, Pakistan were selected as countries since larger higher virus invasion numbers posed vulnerability than others. It is necessary unfold impacts policy sector so that losses can reduce. The secondary data taken from different sources. proved limited transportation, shortages labor, export, import restriction hampered Livestock, vegetable, fruit, fishing more affected crop sector. Small poultry farms closed, milk discarded, rotted fruits vegetables source concern. Different policies implemented by governments recover losses. Proper storage management farm mechanization may reduce loss production. Decentralization efforts government through local (political co-operative association) leaders place product market at least health hazards.
